The heir to the Koopa Throne is known for his sneaky and deceptive manuevers, along with his desire to be like his dear old dad Bowser. These characteristics are perfectly mimicked in Mario Super Sluggers with his deceptively good stats and moveset. Bowser Jr. is speedy, tough, and hits hard. He has one of the best captain Star Swings that can get him a nearly guaranteed double and also easily drive a run in for his team. His 7/10 batting stat and above average hitting zones allows Bowser Jr. to hit a deep home run on the sweet spot or a perfect line drive in the outfield. Jr's 7/10 movement speed makes him the faster character in the "dinger potential" selection and it turns him into a well rounded force on offense. This speed can also make him a reliable outfielder, especially when paired with his high throwing strength. Junior is not the best pitcher but he has good pitch speed variety, a respectable pitch curve, and a tricky Star Pitch, making him a reliable starter or relief option for two or more innings. He has chemistry with four unique characters--eleven if you count the black Mii and alt colors--and he has access to lots of options for team construction, including the strong Bowser team option. If you need a jack of all trades that hits hard and is hard to predict, Bowser Jr. is the perfect choice for you.

Countering his star swing: You can float over the paint with a floating character, buddy jump catch, or even use a great super dive to avoid the paint.

Strengths: Speed, hitting power + contact

Weaknesses: Small dive/jump hitbox, awful attack

Best field positions: Centerfield
